Continental Diesel Rigid MTB tyre tread pattern is similar to the Gravity tyre but more aggressive. The lugs of the tread are taller and wider to give increased grip. Due to the increased width, there's a greater volume of air in the tyre, which means lower pressures can be used.

The Diesel ProTection is designed with a lightweight casing construction aimed at giving excellent uphill and downhill performance, whereas the wire version is double walled for great anti-snakebite puncture capabilities.

The Diesel is not intended as a full-on downhill tyre, rather a wide volume, lighter weight extreme freeride tyre for front and rear use. The 2.5" tread width will fit frames width 80mm clearance and gives riders the freedom to explore more offroad terrain than ever before.
